The QEC team attended the DLSEI Learner Webinar organized by DLSEI, HEC Pakistan, featuring top performers from Cohort 1 of DLSEI 3.0. They shared their Coursera experiences, learning strategies, and success tips with students, faculty and entrepreneurs. UET Peshawar was among the top-performing universities in Cohort 1 in terms of course completions.
The meeting of the Program Team Members (PTMs) was conducted on 23 Sept. 2025 at the Video Conference Hall to discuss the issues related to managing the Quality OBE software with focus on the Outcome Based Education (OBE). Members of the remote campuses participated online. The meeting aimed to discuss challenges, gather feedback from PTM members, and suggest improvements for smooth operation and user experience. Dr. Amaad Khalil, Associate to Director QEC, highlighted the requirements for transition from the QOBE system to the ERP system for OBA. The requirement of Course Teacher Evaluation (CTE) reports was also discussed.
A webinar for the Administrators of the Turnitin Feedback Studio in the Universities under Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan was held on 2 Sept. 2025. The purpose of the webinar was to train the admins on the new Turnitin Feedback Studio experience. The webinar was organized in coordination with HEC. The Director QEC and Deputy Director QEC participated in the webinar.
A webinar was scheduled on 2 Sept. 2025 to cover two key topics to support career growth. Firstly, the Future-Ready Graduates having Top Emerging Skills for Career Success part was to learn about the most in-demand skills shaping the future workplace. Secondly, the Project Management part was to explore career opportunities and Coursera courses to kickstart the career journey. Director QEC attended the webinar.
Former Director QEC, Dr. Iftikhar Ahmad, visited QEC to meet his former colleagues and peers. QEC staff gave tribute to him for his services. He showed satisfaction with the growth of QEC during recent years and was confident that QEC would enhance the standard of processes in the university through the timely adoption of HEC’s PSG-2023.
UET Peshawar has taken a major stride towards achieving its strategic goals
under PSG-2023 with the inaugural meeting of the Institutional Quality Circle (IQC), held on 28 July 2025.
The meeting was chaired by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Sadiq Khattak, while Dr. Safdar Nawaz Khan,
Director Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC), outlined key agenda items, including Review of Institutional
Performance and Enhancement (RIPE) and Post Graduate Program Review (PGPR).
The meeting was attended by IQC Members, Prof. Dr. Rizwan Mehmood Gul (Dean FMCIE), Prof. Dr. Syed Waqar Shah,
(Dean FECE), Prof. Dr. Khizar Azam (Registrar), Prof. Dr. Farid Ullah Khan (Secretary BOASAR), Mr. Muhammad Haroon
(Controller), Mr. Shahid Nawaz (Treasurer), Dr. Nasru Minallah (Director ORIC), and Dr. Shamaila Farooq
(Director Media). Postgraduate student Engr. Jamal Anjum Fawad and undergraduate student Abdul Sammad,
both members of the IQC, also attended the meeting. Vice Chancellor reinforced UET Peshawar's commitment
to continuous improvement and excellence in higher education.
The Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan organized an online session for DLSEI 3.0 Cohort 2 learners who aspire to learn how to use their Coursera license effectively. The Director Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) participated in the session. The agenda included highlighting ways to use Coursera portal, discussing important timelines, and Q&A to answer questions.
