A meeting was chaired by Prof. Dr. Rizwan Mehmood Gul, Sr. Dean, UET Peshawar on December 11, 2025 at 1200 hrs in the Conference Hall to discuss arrangements for the Alumni Association Elections 2026 in pursuance of the directives of Prof. Dr. Muhammad Sadiq Khattak, Vice Chancellor, UET Peshawar. The following key decisions regarding the upcoming Alumni Association Elections were taken:

1. The Alumni Association Election-2026 will be held online, to maximize participation of Alumni, through a secured online portal. This portal has the provision to check ‘Registration Status’ for Alumni. The Alumni Association webpage on the UET website will serve as the point of contact and dissemination of information.
2. It was recommended that the Registrar being Election Authority as per Constitution of the Alumni Association may notify the following schedule for Alumni Association Elections 2026:
   1. Last date for submission of Nomination forms: January 15, 2026. (Nomination forms shall be submitted in person at the Alumni Office)
   2. Scrutiny of Nomination form: January 19, 2026.
   3. Last date for withdrawal of Nomination forms: January 22, 2026.
   4. Notification of final list of candidates: January 23, 2026.
   5. Online Elections: January 28-30, 2026.

Prof. Dr. Riaz Akbar Shah was nominated as the ‘Returning Officer’ for conducting the elections.

3. Controller of Examinations will verify registration details of the voters.
4. In order to facilitate the graduates of the University who come under the category of Senior Citizens, a full-time support staff will be designated at the Alumni Association Office for assisting in registrations. Also arrangements shall be made for physical voting at an appropriate place in the UET Peshawar Campus to enable Senior Alumni or those who have difficulties in online voting.
