Ar. Syed Mazhar Ali Shah

Lecturer

As a passionate architect and educator, I have dedicated my career to shaping the next generation of architects while continuously engaging in professional practice. Graduating with my architecture degree in 2010, I embarked on a journey that has allowed me to blend my love for design with a commitment to education. Since 2012, I have been teaching at the bachelor level, where I strive to inspire students to think critically and creatively about the built environment.

My architectural practice has been integral to my teaching philosophy, as real-world experience enriches the learning process. I specialize in earthquake architecture design, an area that has become increasingly vital in our seismic-prone regions. Through my research and projects, I aim to equip future architects with the knowledge and skills necessary to create resilient structures that prioritize safety and sustainability.

Currently, I am in the final stages of completing my PhD in healthcare architecture, where I explore the intersection of design, functionality, and patient well-being. This research not only enhances my understanding of complex design challenges but also informs my teaching, allowing me to share cutting-edge insights with my students.
