Dr. Abid Ullah completed his B. Sc from UET Peshawar, M.Sc from The George Washington University in Washington DC, and PhD from Virginia Tech in USA. Dr. Abid Ullah’s research interests include spectrum policy related activities for wireless systems. He specialize in resource allocations for LTE/LTE-unlicensed for spectrum sharing systems using constrained beamformers. He has experience in developing proof of concept systems that impact spectrum regulations for use of communication systems in different spectrum bands.
Area of expertise includes
– Evaluation of LTE standard for unlicensed spectrum use with interference mitigation techniques both for broadband systems and incumbent users like TV stations, etc.
– Spectrum policy and regulations for 5G communications
– Experience with PHY/MAC layers for wireless standards like LTE/LTE-unlicensed, WiFi, CDMA, GSM, WiFi standards.
