Dr. Muhammad Omair is serving as an Associate Professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering at the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) in Peshawar, Pakistan. Dr. Omair earned his Ph.D. in Industrial Management Engineering from Hanyang University, South Korea, where his doctoral research focused effect of workplace stress levels on production systems.

Dr. Omair’s research interests are diverse yet interconnected, reflecting his commitment to identifying production and operations issues in the industries and proposing viable solutions using industrial engineering knowledge. His research work on circular economy addresses the environmental and societal challenges in the plastic and automotive industries. He developed recovery strategies i.e., reuse, remanufacture, and recycle for taking back products from customers in closed-loop supply chain management for sustainable development.
