Dr. Zia Ul Haq completed his BSc (1996) and MSc (2003) degree in Agricultural Engineering from the Department of Agricultural Engineering, University of Engineering & Technology (UET) Peshawar, Pakistan. He later obtained his PhD in Irrigation Engineering/Operational Research from the University of Southampton, UK, in 2009. He is currently working as Professor and Chairman of the Department of Agricultural Engineering, UET Peshawar, Pakistan. Additionally, he holds the position of Chief Editor, Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences and has previously held roles as Advisor Student Affairs and Foreign Students Advisor at UET Peshawar. Dr. Zia Ul Haq also contributes as an Evaluator for various projects including those funded by HEC Pakistan and a reviewer for various journals like Scientia Iranica, (International Journal of Science and Technology, Sharif University, Iran) and Irrigation and Drainage Engineering (ASCE). His research interests include but are not limited to Irrigation Engineering, IoT based applications in Agricultural Engineering, Precision Agricultural Engineering, Operational Research tools in Engineering Optimization. He holds lifetime membership of Pakistan Engineering Council, Pakistan as Professional Engineer and an active member of British Alumni Association Pakistan (BAAP) and Pakistan-U.S. Alumni Network (PUAN).
