Prof. Dr. M. Younas is working as Professor and leader of the “Membranes and Process Intensification” group in the department of Chemical Engineering at University of Engineering and Technology, Peshawar, Pakistan. He also engaged with the School of Materials Science and Engineering, Tiangong University, Tianjin, China, the Institute of Urban Environment, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Xiamen and the University of Toledo, OH USA as visiting research scholar. His research focuses on membrane-based separation processes for energy-efficient desalination, environmental applications and implications of nanomaterials. He authored more than 100 refereed journal publications, book chapters and two Springer and Wiley Tech books. His group’s research is application-driven and is currently developing fire resistant hydrophobic cloths, hollow fiber modules for gas capture industry, and wastewater treatment systems with their devised 3D structured materials.
