Prof. Mohammad Haseeb Zafar is a distinguished Professor of Electrical Engineering at the University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Peshawar, Pakistan. With over 28 years of experience in academia, he has held significant positions including Secretary of the Board of Advanced Studies and Research at UET, enhancing the university’s academic standing. Prof. Zafar is recognized for his expertise in designing and analyzing advanced wireless communication networks and systems, and his innovative teaching methodologies have enriched electrical and computer engineering education at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
A renowned international speaker, Prof. Zafar has delivered numerous presentations on emerging technologies in prestigious global forums. He is a prolific researcher with over 100 publications in respected international journals and conferences, primarily focused on computer and wireless communications networking. His research has attracted Rs. 40.5 million in grants as Principal Investigator/Co-Investigator.
Prof. Zafar completed his PhD in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from the University of Strathclyde in 2009, his Master’s in Electrical and Computer Engineering from George Washington University in 2003, and his Bachelor’s with honours from UET Peshawar in 1996. In 2024, he received a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching in Academic Practice from Cardiff Metropolitan University. He was also recognized as a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) by the UK’s Advance HE, earned through the experience route.
He continues to lead and contribute to the academic community through various roles, including chairing the International Conference on Cyber Security (ICCS) in 2022, 2023, and 2024. He holds memberships with IEEE, IAENG, and the Pakistan Engineering Council, underpinning his commitment to advancing computer and wireless communication technologies.
