Prof. Dr. Amjad Ali, is an academic and seasoned researcher in the realm of Applied Mathematics, boasting an impressive track record of over 20 years in this field. Presently he holds the esteemed position of Professor of Mathematics in the department of basic sciences and Islamiat at UET, Peshawar main campus, KPK Pakistan. Currently he is working as a Dean, Faculty of Architecture Allied Sciences & Humanities, University of Engineering & Technology, Peshawar.
Before joining UET Peshawar, he served as teacher of Mathematics in Pakistan Education Centre Doha Qatar for four years.
After leaving Doha Qatar, he joined Islamia College Peshawar as a lecturer and just serving one session there, he has been appointed as a lecturer at UET Peshawar in the department of Basic Sciences and Islamiat. His dedication to teaching excellence is evident from semester wise teacher evaluation of 5 or 4.9 out of 5 through out his career of over 27 years in UET Peshawar.
Education wise, he holds a Ph.D in Applied Mathematics from GIK Institute Topi Swabi Pakistan as well as his MS in Mathematics from the same institute while his M.Sc Mathematics from the department of Mathematics university of Peshawar, Pakistan. It is worth noting that he earned top honors during his M.Sc Mathematics at university of Peshawar and was awarded a gold Medal. Also, he was awarded HEC Indigenous scholarship to pursue his MS leading to Ph.D. at GIK Institute, Topi Swabi, Pakistan.
During the time in UET, Peshawar, he assumed multiple roles including an almost nine years stint as the head of the department of Basic Sciences and Islamiat UET Peshawar, four years as Provost of UET hostels, convener/member, of UDC (University Discipline Committee), purchase committee, Auction committee and GRC (Grievances Redressal Committee).
In total his affiliation with UET Peshawar spanned 27 years, encompassing roles as lecturer, assistant professor, associate professor. Dr. Amjad Ali academic pursuits revolve around a profound interest in different symmetries in general relativity and teleparallel theory of gravity which lies in the field of applied Mathematics. He has authored an impressive portfolio of research articles in esteemed journals with in the domain of applied Mathematics, specially, in GR, TP theory of gravitation and in other different fields of Mathematics where symmetry transformations are frequently used
