Engr. Hamna Shakeel

Lab Engineer

Engr. Hamna is a faculty member in the Civil Engineering Department at UET Peshawar, with research background in structural engineering. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Earthquake Engineering, focusing on the seismic performance of historic timber-framed brick masonry structures. Her research aims to enhance the resilience of heritage buildings through experimental investigations and structural analysis.

She holds a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, specializing in seismic isolation using HDRB to mitigate earthquake-induced forces in structures. Her interests lie in earthquake-resistant design, structural retrofitting, and heritage preservation, along with a growing enthusiasm for Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications in civil engineering. She is keen on exploring how AI can enhance structural analysis, optimization, and predictive modeling in earthquake engineering.
