Dr. Jamil Ahmad is an experienced chemical engineer with over 24 years in academia, research, and industry. Currently an Associate Professor at UET Peshawar, he specializes in membrane technology, gas separation, and environmental engineering. He holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from NTNU, Norway, along with MSc and BSc degrees from UET Peshawar and UET Lahore respectively. Throughout his career, he has supervised numerous BSc, MSc, and PhD research projects, published over 30 high-impact journal papers, and served as a reviewer for leading scientific journals. His teaching portfolio covers undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including environmental engineering, thermodynamics, and membrane gas separation.
Dr. Jamil has also played a key role in academic administration, presently serving as Associate Director for Postgraduate Studies and has remained as a board member for various university committees. His industrial experience includes roles at Attock Refinery Ltd. and Stanley Pharmaceuticals, where he worked on process optimization and environmental management. He has led multiple industrial research projects on petroleum sludge treatment, bioremediation, and zero effluent discharge, contributing to sustainable chemical engineering solutions. Additionally, he holds certifications in HAZOP, ISO 9000, waste management, and emergency response training. His expertise spans research, academic leadership, and industrial consultancy, making significant contributions to both academia and industry.
