Dr. Fakhre Alam Khan

Lecturer

Dr. Fakhre Alam Khan is an esteemed academic and researcher renowned for his expertise in Nano materials and building energy modeling. He has done his Master’s and Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering (Nano materials) from Sungkyunkwan University, South Korea. He is a registered Professional Engineer (PE) specializing in Thermal-Fluid (HVAC) Engineering with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC). He has previously worked on numerous sponsored projects by National research foundation (NRF), ministry of science and technology (MoST) of Korea. Dr. Khan’s research focuses on composite nanomaterials for energy, environmental, and electro-mechanical applications. His research work in Nano materials, Heat transfer, HVAC, and Building energy modeling has been extensively published in top-tier, peer-reviewed journals, and has led to multiple internationally registered patents. Currently, a lecturer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at UET Peshawar, Dr. Khan is dedicated to both teaching and departmental development. He is currently serving as, an outcome-based education (OBE) Material and Design committee member, Final year design project (FYDP) committee member, Students batch advisor and Senior warden in the hostel, showcasing his commitment to academic excellence and student welfare. Dr. Khan’s leadership extends to his role as group lead in the research project “Transformation of Buildings in Pakistan: A Pathway Towards Green, Sustainable and Zero Energy Buildings,” sponsored by GIZ Pakistan. His research has gained international acclaim with publications, in Science Magazine such as “Advance Science News” featuring his work in 2018 with title, “Love in the time of Automata”.
