Dr. Kareem Akhtar is an Associate Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department at UET Peshawar, specializing in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). He holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in Engineering Science and Mechanics from Virginia Tech, where he also served as an instructor. His research focuses on supersonic flow, turbulence modeling, and heat transfer enhancement. Dr. Akhtar has published extensively in high-impact journals and has supervised numerous graduate theses. He has also held key administrative roles, including Director/coordinator of the Jalozai Campus at UET Peshawar.
