Dr. Khurram Sheraz
Engr. Dr. Khurram Sheraz is working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Agricultural Engineering at the University of Engineering and Technology Peshawar. He holds a PhD degree in Soil and Water Engineering (2021) from UET Peshawar, with a specialization in hydroclimatic analysis using hybrid nonparametric-wavelet transform methods.
With over 17 years of experience in academia and research, Dr. Sheraz has been teaching both at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He has also supervised multiple BSc and MSc students’ research projects on water resource management, precision agriculture, and climate resilience.
Dr. Sheraz has extensive administrative experience, currently serving as Director Admissions of UET Peshawar. He also held roles as Additional Director Admissions of the university, and Semester Coordinator in the Department of Agricultural Engineering. His professional engagements include memberships in national and university curriculum revision committees, quality enhancement teams, and various university boards. He is also certified as a Master Trainer by the Higher Education Commission, Islamabad, for professional development of faculty members.
He has also served in the field for various national and provincial organizations such as National Agricultural Research Center (NARC) Islamabad, On-Farm Water Management Department (KP), and Pakistan Forest Institute where he contributed significantly to different projects aiming at sustainable soil and water resource management. His research focuses on irrigation and drainage systems, hydrological modeling, and environmental sustainability. His research contributions are published in high-impact journals, focusing on climate variability, water management, and geospatial analysis. He has lifetime memberships of Pakistan Engineering Council as Professional Engineer, and Institution of Engineers Pakistan. He actively participates in professional training, workshops, and national and international conferences to advance his expertise in agricultural engineering and water resource management.
