Dr. Marjan Uddin
I am delighted to announce that I have successfully completed my Ph.D. in computational science through the Sandwich Scholarship Program, sponsored by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan. This program afforded me the opportunity to pursue my doctoral studies at both the Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute (GIKI) and the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago. Additionally, I worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Leicester in the UK.
My research centers on the use of radial basis function (RBF) networks and radial kernels to develop numerical methods for solving engineering problems that involve differential and integral equations. This innovative approach seeks to tackle complex challenges across various engineering disciplines by leveraging advanced computational techniques and mathematical models.
Specifically, my work focuses on creating numerical schemes for fractional and integral order differential and integral equations. This research addresses critical issues in several engineering fields where traditional numerical methods may be insufficient due to the complexity of fractional and integral orders.
With over 26 years of experience in teaching and research at various prestigious higher education institutions, I have been deeply involved in computational sciences. Throughout my career, I have successfully supervised more than 30 Master’s theses and over 5 doctoral dissertations, each making significant contributions to the field of computational sciences.
In addition to my academic roles, I have been honored with the International Research Initiative Scholarship and the NRPU award by HEC Pakistan, which enabled me to lead and complete significant research projects in computational sciences. I have also actively contributed to the academic community as an editor and reviewer for esteemed international journals, helping to ensure the quality and integrity of scholarly publications in this field.
My commitment to academic research is reflected in my extensive publication record, with over 50 research papers published in renowned international journals. These publications demonstrate my dedication to advancing knowledge and addressing key challenges in computational sciences. I am passionate about innovation and driven to make meaningful contributions to the academic and scientific community.
