Dr. Muhammad Daud is an Associate Professor of Chemical Engineering at the University of Engineering & Technology (UET) Peshawar Pakistan. He received his Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM), Saudi Arabia in December 2016. He was awarded the best Ph.D. thesis award for the year 2016 at KFUPM. During his Ph.D. studies, he was working on the synthesis of layered double hydroxide (LDH) modified with 2D and bio-based hybrid nanocomposites, and their applications in the field of polymer nanocomposites, water treatment and energy applications. He completed his post doctorate at the Interdisciplinary Research Center for Refining & Advanced Chemicals (IRCRAC), KFUPM in August 2023. Dr. Daud has over 20 research articles in refereed journals, having an H-index of 20 on the Scopus database.
