Dr. Salman Aatif
Dr. Salman Aatif performed his PhD in Electrical Engineering from Southwest Jiaotong University, Chengdu, China in 2021, specializing in voltage control scheme for MVDC railways in renewable energy fed system. His area of interest includes integration of renewable energies in electrified railways and in conventional power systems; Economic load dispatch in railway grids; Multilevel converters; MVDC and HVDC systems; mitigation of rail potential and stray current in DC railways; pumped-hydro storage systems; and electric vehicles.
Currently, Dr. Aatif holds the position of Lecturer in the Department of Electrical Engineering at UET Peshawar, Bannu Campus, Pakistan, where he has served diligently for over 15 years. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, he has taken on various administrative roles, including semester coordinator and industrial liaison officer. His commitment to both academia and administrative duties underscores his dedication in advancing the field of Electrical Engineering.
