Prof. Dr. Naeem Khan obtained his PhD in Electrical Engineering from University of Leicester, United Kingdom, specializing in Control Systems. With a keen focus on state estimation under constrained conditions such as output data loss, data lier and mismatching, various types of systems were studied. Varying from linear systems to complex linear parameter varying systems, from a simple mass spring damper system to bulky robotic systems were diagnosed with the stated scenario. Robust state estimation strategies were proposed to run those systems effectively.

Currently, Prof. Naeem Khan is working as Head of Department in University of Engineering and Technology, Peshawar, Campus-III, Bannu since Nine (09) Years. Besides, teaching responsibilities, he has worked as semester coordinator for the department, Deputy Coordinator for the campus, Program Team Member (PTM) active program evaluator (PEV) for PEC, and member of The Institution of Engineering Pakistan (IEP).
