Directorate of Undergraduate Studies

The University has four faculties comprising 26 departments that impart education in various disciplines. To facilitate the swift resolution of student issues, the student advisor, foreign student advisor, and the office of the director of undergraduate studies were merged into a single office, “The Directorate of Undergraduate Studies” in February 2024. The specific objectives of the newly established office are:

  1. To plan academic activities for the undergraduate programs of the university and develop academic calendar.
  2. To facilitate the Vice Chancellor’s Secretariat in approving extra teaching loads and engaging visiting faculty members.
  3. To monitor regular classes for undergraduate programs of the University and submit report to the concerned Dean for corrective action, if required.
  4. To help students resolve their academic issues and queries during the semester, including fee clearance at the CMS.
  5. To help devise policies for pending dues of students at CMS.
  6. To conduct regular meetings with the Semester Coordinators for effective implementation of University rules and regulations.
  7. To guide foreign students including Afghan students in all matters (scholarships, hostels, visa, semester load/offerings).
  8. To facilitate students in issuing certificates during semester for different purposes.
  9. To keep liaison with concerned consulates of all foreign students and share progress report of students.
  10. To maintain a consolidated and updated record of all foreign students.
  11. To deal with all cases of scholarships for undergraduate
  12. To maintain close liaison with all donor agencies of scholarships for undergraduate program.
  13. To work as secretary to the University Discipline Committee/Appellate Committee.
  14. To undertake any other task to be assigned by the Dean/Vice Chancellor from time to time pertaining to undergraduate programs.
